What kind of plant is the little green floeting stuff?

That would be duckweed, commonly found on slowmoving bodies of water ranging from manmade ponds to expansive wetlands. But beware! It reproduces fast, and once introduced, it's very difficult to stop spontanious reoccurances once removed. But it's very cool stuff!

I bought mine off of ebay since it's out of season here in MI. I paid like 3 bucks for a bag of at least 1000 plants. The great thing is that it reproduces so fast, if you do see it in a pet shop or some other aquatic venue, most people will sell you a bag for about 1 buck, and within a month you'll have a tank full with proper lighting. I love it!
