Keywords: ringneck snake small cream
This is a small snake I found under a log in a moist environment. It acts like a ringneck, but I'm not sure (due to the lack of a ringed neck...) any idea what kind of snake this is and how to care for it?
Looks like a smooth or rough earth snake they have almost the same care as the brown snakes. They love little bug like worms a slugs.

That is a sharp-tailed snake. They are very common in the area in which I live (Sacramento, CA). They do not get much larger than the one you have. The largest I have seen was about 12" and that was a monster! Their belly pattern (black and white ladder pattern) is very distinctive and makes them easily identifiable. I have never been able to get one to eat as a captive. Good luck!
