Hey, can you please tell me how long my Ball python should be before i offer him his first rat

You can start feeding rats whenever you like, just choose the right size. I start my hatchling BP's on small fuzzy rats and never worry about switching from mice to rats. Mainly because I don't want to raise mice, male mice will have their cages stinking the day after you clean them!

Ok, Maybe I'll pick him up a small rat next feed day! I also have another question =(... *sorry* Is there any way that i could tell if my BP is male or female? I hope its a female =)

You'll want to have it "probed" by an experienced reptile vet, breeder, or herp specialist. Any other method is sheer guesswork (tail or spur size/shape...highly variable among individual animals regardless of sex). Even probing can be a bit of a judgement call on some females, so emphasis on experienced!
