I think you are fortunate (and a very good keeper) to have a docile croc-monitor, they are beautiful and interesting. But most keepers of these have a different experience.. croc monitors are fast, powerful and have very damaging teeth and (mostly) a bad disposition.
If some new owner was to try for such a photo they might be missing an ear or an eye!
