what am I???

She looks to be an anole of some sort. If she was a gift, why dont you ask the people you got her from? Or if they dont know, why did they get her in the first place? I'm sorry im a bit edgy, but this happens so much, and the poor animals usually end up dying due to lack of knowladge and the wrong type of care. Look at all of the green iguanas, for example. something rediculous like 3,000,000,000 are imported to this country EVERY YEAR and only like %15 of those make it to adulthood. that is sad, but those cute little lime green iggies are pretty irristable until they get aggressive and hit 5ft, huh? ANYWAY...im not necessarily ragging on you. I am just venting because this happens so frequently. At least you are doing your reasearch. Kudos for that, man. So, if it is an anole (shich it looks to be) she is of the bahaman sort...whe will stay brown, but can change from dark to light due to stress, temp and mood. She should be kept in at least a 10g tank with lots of climbing oppotunities such as vines and plants. Humidity is not too important. I would mist down the entire tank at least once (but not more that 3x) daily. The temps should range from 85-90*f on the basking spot to 70* on the cool end. Make sure there is a bit of a thermal gradient in the tank for thermo regulation. The temps can drop to 60 at night, but no lower, and a UTH is helpful for that purpose. A UVB light is not always suggested, but since thees are diurnal animals it wouldnt hurt. Also, if you choose, a couple more females or treefrogs would be ok to add to the viv. Not great, but ok. And dont handel her too much. These little guys are more to look at than anything, because they stress so easily. At least that is my opinion. And, if next time some one wants to get you a reptile but they dont know what to get, ask for a reptile book or a gift certificate to a local pet shop. It will be much better on evreyons part in the long run. good luck.

i work in a hotel and one of our regular guests transport these guys to pet shops. Thats how i got her. The last time he cam in he said she was a shift...so i dunno. But I have her in a huge 30gal tank with lots of leafs and a big stick that she can climb on. She seems happy and she doesn't mind us picking her up. She likes to be rubbed under her neck. I have taken her to 2 pet stores and I also emailed the crocodilr hunter to see if he coiuld help. I think i'm the right track..thanks for your comment!!
