What kind of king snake is that?

Today, I caught a snake in my back yard. At first I wasn't even sure what it was when I looked at it's dark indigo blue almost black body and pearly vibrant blue belly! But then after looking on the internet for hours, this picture was the only thing I could find that looked like it. Is a "lampropeltis. g. nigrita" a mexican black king snake, because I live in Alabama? Or is that just the name? Also, whatever it is, is there a specific name for this version/variation(ones that look like this)? Because, after letting this guy go, I want to buy one (captive bred/domestic)!
