Hey Jerzreptile, looks good to me. The only thing I would change is the thermometer, only because I made the same mistake. You need it to read the tempurature of the base of your tank not the air. I thought my temps were perfect at 90 degrees, but when I put the thermometer on the floor the temp was well over 100 degrees. If you do have one there and I just can't see it then disregard this post.

The temps wont be so off that it will harm the animal.

I would try to get another thermometer just to check. The one I had stuck to the glass said 92 at one point, when I put it on the ground the temp said 110 (it was probably even higher, but the thermometer just doesn't read more than 110). I could have caused some serious damage.

If your air temp is 90-95 and you have a UTH I can almost guarantee your base is well over 100, which is way to hot.

Hey Mom2AutumnNReign, I actually haven't bought one yet. I just took the one of the glass and put it on the base. I also have another thermometer that I put on the base, just to make sure that one is working properly. I don't have my leos yet (they come tomorrow :)) so I am still just fiddling around trying to get everything set up just right. I have been told radio shack sell good digital thermometers. The kind with the wire thing that you would be able to conceal well. When I get a chance (after finals) I'm going to go look for a good one.

cool lizzy ty for the info...I also have my glass therm on the floor and have been looking for a good to replace it...btw jerrep if your UTH is a zoo med one...and you dont have it hooked up to any type of dimmer switch...I can tell you from experience it is to hot...I have mine hooked to a lamp dimmer to control the temps...other wise it would be 110 degrees on the hot side.
