Indie was a rescue as a hatchling. She was the smallest of a group of about 25 other hatchlings housed in a small petstore enclosure. Almost dead, i barterded her off of the store manager and brought her home. Her tail and front feet had been bitten off and she was emaciated and dehydrated. Miraculously enough, she ate from my hand and drank from a dropper. 2 years later she is a bit on the handicapped side, but she has no idea that she is!
its always sad to see stuff like that happen, I myself took in a sun conure from an abusive home. . .the bird has an ill temperment(might be an understatment) but has no physical damage, and he's getting better a flying, the former owners never let her out of her cage, sad really

I really admire people like you, I think it's fantastic that you are willing to nurse and raise a deformed animal, I have nothing but respect for you, well done ! :)

I am so glad when a beardie like this gets a good home. Good job!! My beardie was nearly starved to death before I got him but I nursed him back to health and now he's a happy little boy :)!!
