No doubt thats fake but that is a cool Looking photo. Imagine how friggin scary that would be walking near a snake that big.

umm... people, this is just a screencap frome the new movie "Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid." It's the sequel no one asked for.

Oh well that movie will SUCK! I agree, a snake that big would definatly be thicker. Did anyone ever see that movie, Holes, they had these pionous beardie's in it. My freinds were all like that would suck to get bit by a piosion lizard. And i was just sitting there checking out the color's on the beardie's, lol

Yeah, except the movie takes place in Borneo, not many Anacondas there my friends. No wonder most people have screwed up ideas about reptiles.

Wow I can't beleive how many NEGATIVE comments there are over a pic from a MOVIE! lik as if someone with a home camera could do something like that and if they did its a great shot looks real and I saw the trailer to the movie and I did not nor do want to see the first one. I hat ewhen movie makers screw up the names, orrigins , or any other false info about reptiles or anything for that matter, it makes me think what an uneducated movie or director for that matter.

As a keeper of anacondas...I would like to see this movie just to see what is in it. If the movie "boa" found a way to have a snake in antartica...im sure this movie will have some reason they are in borneo. I really think stupid stories in the news about shipping venomous snakes ups hurt this hobby more than an obvious exageration on the size and danger of anacondas most people never have to worry about. I am actually considering setting up a display at a local theater with both green and yellow anacondas that have extremely docile tempers and have a bit of education to pull some positive interest and PR for this hobby.

I assure you that this picture is a 100% real. We were on an exbidition in South America, while I was in a tree filming the crew making this river crossing, this large snake appeared. As soon as I yelled to them to warn them of the danger, the snake dissappeared. We are not snake experts, but from the way you guys are talking, this must be one of the largest snakes on the planet. When we got back to the village we told the locals of our find. They warned us of a snake of mammoth porportions that lives in the river. Legend has it that the snake is 1000s of years old, and will come on to land, and eat the villagers livestock. It would eat everything to the point where the villagers were left with nothing, and would starve. So they started sacraficing a child every year to keep the beast from coming ashore.

Dookie, are you serious???? This is from the new Anaconda movie, and is in now way real. There is also no way a snake could be a 1000 years old....

i'm actualy realy impressed the snake is realistic and acurit ,that actauly looks like a green anaconda,but i agree a snake of that lengh would be much thicker,i dont dought that theres a huge snake somewhere in the world ,snakes never stop growing ,they just slow down,so its posible but it defenitly wouldent be 1000yrs old thats crazy

LOL...dookie I like that story. People...just relax and learn to read a joke and look at the picture. Nobody thinks that is a real photo...slow down a second. 1000 years old, thats nothing compared to the movie. I heard the thing gets its power from some orchid and is protecting some stone in borneo. I think dookies storie would make a more realistic movie.
