Is this spider harmful? Where can this spider be found in the US? Also, what is the common name? Thanks.

I did a search for this species, and it turns out this is the South American Widow Spider, basically a latin american relative of our Black Widow, and probably quite hazardous in terms of venom, and this particular specimen would be even more dangerous since it's guarding one or two egg sacks.
