I am almost positive that is not a leo, which I think you are thinking it is. It looks like a banded gecko, and their tails dont get as large as leos'. It looks fine to me.....

Josh..looks like a Leo to me. I have a banded and the coloration is definately different. Look up my post and you'll see what I mean. I believe this to be a underfed leo. My 6 week old Leo is eating upwards of 9 crickets a day... Which floors me since my banded doesnt have as voracious an appetite. hope this helps...

I just saw a pic of a Central American Banded gecko and it looked exactly like this one. Check it out at geckosunlimited.com....

lol,
its a centrel american banded gecko(coleonyx mitratus),is not underweight ,and is a very good size for this type of gecko.bandeds arnt very big geckos.
there are also several difrerent species all clased as bandeds ,and there are several colour morphs within c.mitratus which where once considered subspecies, there is a lighter phase like this one and also a darker phase.

Its obviously a coleonyx mitratus, and my favorite type of gecko, but I'm biased because I have one too. I used to have two til one died of liver problems :( Anyhow, it looks very beautiful.
