For some reason, people seem to be more interested in Brendan. Is there some consensus that the Blue's are more desireable than the Reds? My personal opinion is that they are both screamers. Yurimaru will fire up if you just look at him. He does not require a female or opposing male to photograph.

Vince,

Most people are hung up on the blue phase Ambilobes. But this guy rivials
even some of the best blue phases out
there. He has no white in the gular area, and has the most intense red/orange coloration that I have seen
in awhile. I centainly hope that you are
breeding him. I have noticed white markings in alot of Ambilobes in the gular area, and consider it a major flaw. Good luck with this guy!

Legendcham,
How can white in the throat area be a flaw when it happens naturally in the wild? If it was such a flaw how would those animals survive in the wild? It seems that the few wild caught ambilobes that show that coloration were imported as large adults, so it must not be to much of a flaw.

Vince,
This guy looks like he is on fire, awesome! He reminds me of a REALLY nice Sambava.

I think Legendcham meant that the white is less desireable to some people. Its all a matter of personal preference. I don't think it impairs the chameleons ability to survive. Ambilobes and Sambavas do have thier similarities. But my opinion is that the Ambilobes are more vibrant. This male does not have any green in him at all. The photo pretty much sums up his color throughout the day. We have 2 males of this color variation that are almost identical. They both had clean blue bars as juveniles to sub adults. You would have never guessed they'd turn out like this.

My post wasn't to attack anyone. I just think white is a natural thing on a chameleon, white stripe, white lips and sometimes white throats. It just made me think that if it was something bad nature would have sorted it out and corrected the problem and we wouldn't see any white in any chameleon.

Yurimaru looks very striking. I have heard that sometimes blue bar ambilobes will start out with red bars, so it is pretty interesting that the opposite happens as well. It does look like he shows green though, but it also looks like that will turn yellow/orange when excited. Red bars are very nice but I think the blues are much more striking as you can have all the colors of say this guy with the contrast of blue bars. Either way, red or blue, these animals are awesome.

Hey dennis, i'll try to post a pic of the blue bars when they are juveniles. Also got some red bars that have since turned blue.
