Sweeeeet! Never seen a blue tongue like that before. What species/sub species is it? Where did you get him/her from?

Actually, it's not mine. Someone was selling it some months back. I cannot tell what subspecies it is at all!
Do you have any BTS? I have some and I love them!

Right now I have 10 adult blue tongues, 8 of them Irian Jaya, 2 that I think are meruke but could be gigas. Also I have a litter of 9 baby irian jayas and one of the adults might be pregnant right now! How many blues do you own?

Right now, I have 7 but I'm getting several more in the next week.
Have you visited bluetongueskinks.net? It's a great place for chatting with other BTS fanatics too, including several people in Australia.

Could that posibly be an older Tanimbar? The very faint eye stripe makes me doubt it though.

I hadn't thought about that, but it is a possibility I think.
You have any BTS?

QUESTION FOR BLUE-TONGUE:
Just out of curiosity, what species of BTS have you caught?
And if you remember, what's the largest one you've seen so far?
Thanks.

Where I live eastern BTS are extremely common and I could catch at least one a day in summer and I would hear loads scurry away, but you have to be careful though becuase the venomous brown snake is almost as common. I have caught an eastern that would have been easily 60cm long and it was very heavy. I have also been to the edges of Kakadu(desert) and seen a centralian blue tongue but it was average length. The guy I bought my eastern from had a Blotched and a pygmy

A pygmy?! Wow! I thought those were protected and couldn't be collected legally, except for scientific studies.
I'd love to have a Centralian!!!
