I took him to the vet this morning and had him put to sleep. When I went to feed him this morning, and got his mouth open good and wide...that hole in his face, goes all the way through, and all around his bottom teeth and gums was black, necrotic tissue.
I couldn't stand to watch him suffer anymore. I just can NOT believe that the owners of the pet shop could just stand by and watch him suffer like that!!!

oh.. i just commented the facial pic... looking at the whole body i understand your decision to put him to sleep.
beside the tragedy it is somewhat fascinating that it was still alive in that condition... shows us how robust they can be
