Thank you very much! I am going to spruce up the blocks a bit with either stencils or fabric. The whole room contains four 55 gallon tanks, five 40 breeders, two 30 gallon tanks, three 20 gallon tanks, a large Python enclosure and I just put together a 5' by 3' Tortoise enclosure. I also have storage shelves with my reptile supplies, a freezer for the mice/rats, and a large ferret cage in there!

Ok, let me get this straight.. You like reptiles, spiders ect.. You have a freezer just to store mice in... You like Star Wars, Willow, ( sci-fi, fant..).. Two things need to happen, either I can try to talk my wife into letting us get married, or all the single guys who want to get married to someone like you need to e-mail me to tell them what they will end up with.. You are an inpsiration! Rock on, Blue

Awwww (blushing) unfortunately I married a couch potato football/video game nut who does not like animals or nature at all. Go figure. He won't go hiking with me, or to Star Trek conventions, but that doesn't stop me from just heading out on my own and enjoying life. I've met most most of the Star Trek actors, many of the Star Wars actors, and even Willow and his real life wife. I'm active in my local reptile club (secretary) and have just carved out a life of my own doing what I love. I wish he shared in my hobbies and passions, sure would be nice to have someone who looked at my newly aquired pets with smiles instead of rolling eyes. He's learned his lesson though. He said "No Snakes" so I brought home a 7 foot Carpet Python. He said "No More Ferrets" when I had two, now I have six. Can't wait till he tells me I can't have a Pony!

Hi Matt, I'm sorry to say I don't have Tigger any more. I miss him terribly. He was really awesome.

He was over 3 feet but not quite 4 feet, he was missing the tip of his tail though. He tail wipped the side of his enclosure when he was in that young "crazy" stage and broke it. It was crooked for the first year, then died and fell off when he was about 2 years old.

Where did you adopted your frogs from??

I have a White's Tree Frog that I got at Petco, and two Solomon Island Eyelash Frogs that came from another local pet store. I almost lost one of my Solomons to some kind of infection that caused a huge open wound on his face. Thankfully he responded to treatment and is doing great!

Lyn, don't worry about your husband. Mine is the same way. I have 2.0 horses, 1.0 ball python, 0.0.1 Leo 1.3Platty (fish). I want to get my basment re done and heated to accomidate a burm. I am also getting a surinam red-tail boa and a gargoyle gecko. All of this with the adoption of a year old Iguana next month. I am in the process of building the iguanas cage on my screened front porch. All my husband has to say about this is "Ugh" and "You are buying MORE crickets for that lizard?!" I like to go to Cos-Play convetions and reptile shows and he dosen't. Dosen't matter though, I am winning over our 2 year old son who loves the snake more then any dog! =) Good Luck with all your animals!

Very nice and looks good for block. I need to set up 4, 40 breeders myself and I will use your pic as my guide. :) Actually, I may end up with 8 , 40 breeder tanks. A rack is the only way i could have the space. Small home based Bearded Dragon rescuer here.

Did you ever stencil or dress up the block yet in any way? Look forward to seeing your creativity!
thanks, Rommie

I totally need to take a new pic. I did try the stenciling but the cinder just sucked it in and it didn't look nice. I found a set of 6 dish towels with ferns on them, and I have stencilled ferns on the walls, so I bought the towels and have them hanging down on each column, and have set little statues of Turtles and stuff on top of each column. It looks so much better now. I'll try to get a picture and post it. Also the tanks have been fixed up and look nicer now. What I like is that I have this stand out in the middle of the room and have taken the backers off the tanks that had them, so doesn't matter which side you walk down, you can see in. They all have plenty of hides for privacy. The tanks now contain my Yellow/Everglades Rat Snake, my Banded Water Snake, My Normal Corn Snake, and some female Leos. Eventually I will move the Leo tank to another stand and set up a new 40 for my Hognose and it will be just the 4 snakes. Only problem is the cinder blocks are sharp so you have to be REALLY careful moving around them. No backing up w/out looking!
