Keywords: midland pattern turtle painted

a beautiful midland painted turtle i found in a pond i millington TN, a rare pattern morph maybe, kinda mosaic, huh?

Thats not a Midland Painted. Its some kind of Cooter. If I was to guess what it is I would say a Hieroglyphic River Cooter.

Nice pic, but this is 100% not a midland painted turtle.

It appears to be either a hieroglyphic cooter, or Rio Grande, or peninsular slider.
But definitely not a painted Midland or other.

i wasnt 100% sure in the first place, i wasnt even 10% sure, the pic is kinda blurry im gonna take a pic with the other turtles, i have another one of these, but the pattern is compeatly different, thats why i was thinking a pattern morph.

i found out its some kinda red-belly, you cant see in the pic but it has a bright orange underside
