He's 10. We got him as a hatchling in '94. He's got his own room with an open 6'x6'x4' habitat with UV lighting. He used have the run of the house but 3 years ago he decided that pooping behind the toilet instead of on his paper(which was fine up until then) was the thing to do...I kinda think that he figured since we "went" in there, so would he!! Anyhow, now he has his room and seems quite happy. He seems a bit small for an adult male though. I must admit that while I have always had the best intentions, I have made a few mistakes along the way. Nothing too horrible, but his temps were a bit low for the first few years and he used to raid the cat food dish when ever he could. I didn't know any better, but as soon as I did, I corrected the situation. He seems quite healthy and has a great personality!! Thanx again for the input...any other comments are welcome!!

Two of my iggys are free roamers and I'm trying to paper train them. My cats have other ideas for the paper though. They play in it and lay on it which discourages the iggys to use it. It's hard to keep a free roaming iggy at the right temps. My new big green iggy has his basking spot on the back of the couch, but he roams and ends up under the couch where it is cold. After a while I get him out and put him back in his spot where it is warm. He warms up, and off he goes again. I guess he's just exploring.
You have a cool iggy.
