SIRENS

Neat looking are those dwarf sirens or baby reg sirens?
I have read about them but never saw any. Did you find them in a river?

ar har.. these are Lesser sirens, siren intermedia somethings.they are not straight siren intermedia, but I haven't got a clue what the last part of that is.. they can get to be 2 ft, approx, so make sure that if you get one there's a tank of the appropriate size and bloodworms(pref live) to give them as treats..also nice to have baby catfish around..lol..mine love it..

Oh nice to have them in your area they arent to common. Not found in to many bodies of water anymore.

i had 20inch siren that i got on the rode dering a fludd he was only 9inches then

about 4 months he was in a 30 by 20 foot pond

that's neat. last time I mentioned Siren, no on knew what it was!! this isn't the best pic, but later I'll get the pic of my only two. Ulrich and Ulysses are all that are left from the four. Gabriel was killed by a perch, and the other one went down the drain...accident while cleaning..he was WAAAYY to small!!

I am interested in starting a neotonic amphibian tank with one or two of each: axolotl or Ambystoma mexicanum; Pseudobranchus striatus or dwarf siren; and Necturus punctatus or dwarf waterdog. Those look like they are either a dwarf or lesser siren. Anyone out there selling them please email me. (My email is in my profile)

You guy's still need to give me a call... I have 8 gravid ball pythons and a gravid jungle carpet python should be laying eggs any day.
You need to show me where you found the sirens.. I'd like to add a pair to my collection...

well, the creek has been flooded again, and there's a chance of catching sirens, but we haven't been out there.The tww that are left are doing great.They are around 4 inches now,and Jean isn't willing to part with those,but there might be a chance of catching some. She wants a chameleon really bad,but I told her about the ball pythons.She's thinking about that. It'll be a while,her cousin is giving her the mare she has.
