Keywords: macklot injury python scar

My Macklot's had a run in with a mouse (which i stunned but still snagged him), tore open a flap of scales. It is red underneath but seems to only have broken the layer of scales as no bleeding, prob 1/4 inch at most. I can adjust the flap around to almost completely cover the exposed underpart as none of it ripped off, just fits right in, however it will not stay. As soon as he moves around the flap kind of rolls in on itself as the picture shows (sorry crappy phone camera), i put neosporin on it but how can i get the flap to stay in place, or should i not worry about it? also, does shedding replace such scales or will there be a scar...i read someone said liquid bandage but im not about to use that unless i hear it from others....thanx!

Put a band-aid on it that should hold it in place till the next shed. there might be a scar there if you rip it off.
