I'm looking to change it. I'm new with geckos. It came recommended by the pet store (of course). Your best recommendation?

You could try repti-carpet or tile. I use both (different tanks) and would recommend either. Theya re washable and have a nice, clean look to them.

I'd like to eventually make her environment similar to what it would be in the wild but I have to find some good pictures first. Sand can cause impaction and mealworms can burrow in, tile is nice but I'd have to find something not so slippery, and reptile carpet I'm guessing might be harder to keep clean and I've heard they can get their toes stuck. Paper towels I don't want to do because I use an UTH and I'd be worried it'd get too hot or she'd get under it. I guess nothing is perfect but I'm still thinking about it. Thanks everyone! I actually posted this picture because I thought she was having a shedding problem:)

hey i just wanted to say that i have tried all of the things and i settled on sand. i waited until my gecko knew what was going on. he seems to like it and i also use an UTH so if yu used paper towels just put a pile on there i did that and then not so many on the cool side. it worked for him
