The crooked long log-looking thing was bought at a petstore, for just 10 bucks. above it is a UVA basking lamp. The large grapvine was a little more expesive, and above that is a UVB light. I have turf as the ground, and a rubbermaid tub of water at the bottom. Entire cage is made from Home-Depot tool shelf frame and plexiglass.
Excellent cage :O) Thanks for commenting on my cage. I actually took the second blue shelf out because it ran the shorter length of the cage. I replaced it with that white shelf on the top of the cage that runs the longer length of the cage. The problem is that my iggy keeps growing bigger and bigger! He is a little over 3 feet now. I will eventually have to build a cage most likely. I'll probably go to my parents house to find another large and more interesting branch. As for the background, where did you get yours and how large is it? If I got a background, it would have to be at least 51 X 40 inches. Thanks for your help. Please email me if you know of anywhere that I can get a background for my cage. heather_7696@yahoo.com Thanks!

you can get the back ground from basically any petstore. its a better chance of getting a better variety at a petstore with tropical fish rather than just herps. and im not sure how long/wide the background is, but if you look closely to mine, i overlapped it ;)
i really love how your ig looks. my ig about about a year and a half years old, 3 feet, but still hasn't developed the dewlap and spikes like your ig. did they just develop as he grew longer? or did he stop at 3 feet or something and took time to grow them? or something! haha. thanks. sean

Irwin's spikes are out of control, huh?! I don't know maybe he did stop growing in length to devote more time to his spikes! LOL...Actually, they just kept growing as he grew. His dewlap his huge too. He sheds quite a bit. It might be because my brother had him the first year of his life and I don't think that he (my bro) quite knew the best way to take care of him. Thanks for the compliments on him! I really appreciate your help trying to spruce my cage up too. So your background is just a fish tank background overlapped the length of your cage? What are the dimensions of your cage?

you know, i looked all over the apartment for a tape measurer, and i cant find it. i know its somewhere around, cause i measured the door of the cage ( getting screen door for more ventilation ). but regardless of the demensions, overlapping the background will do the trick ;)
http://www.aquarium-background.com/ might give you some ideas on what you want.
