not sure what happened. made it this far then egg dented (normal prior to hatching) but this one dented major and hardened like a rock.

Hi,
I've now be told that this is probably a prarie king. It's from a wild egg (semi long story that I won't go into.)
Can any of you "rat" folks confirm or deny the thought that this unfortuante fella was actually a prarie king. Egg found in McCoupin County Illinois plenty of both there.
