I'd venture a pretty strong guess that it's a Crab Spider. Their bodies can blend in w/ their surroundings. Very beneficial when it comes to getting a meal.

This is indeed a Crab Spider, a Goldenrod Spider (Misumena Vatia) to be exact. This particular species comes in white and yellow color phases and specialises in hunting on flowering plants, feeding on insects that come to the flower for the nectar & pollen.

Thanks for informing me! I asked my friend what kind of spider it was too, and she agreed that it was a Crab Spider.
