the vision cages were around $160 each and I paid about $100 for the wood and paint to build the rack. You don't need a rack for visions but I did it to prevent the hot spots on the upper cages, make changing light bulbs easier, and prevent the cages from warping.

Nice look. I saw those vision cages for sale. Great looking but thought the incandescent light bulb dome would melt.
I guess not though by looking at yours. How does that work the bulb goes inside that dome and no prob with the plastic and the heat?

I did melt a little bit of one of the cages with a ceramic light bulb, I was able to fix it so the cage and light dome are still usable though. Now I use basking heat lights in all of them instead of the ceramic, the heat is more directed into the cage that way instead of heating up the plastic.

Thanks. They are great looking cages but I was afraid of getting one because thought a bulb might melt something glad to know reg incandescent wont.
