This is a photo of a set of twin F3 S. GA Eastern kingsnakes. While trying to get them to pose nicley in their egg, I spooked them enough to make them both fly out at the same time. Thanks for looking.

Hi,

Thanks, I really should post a bit of an explanation with that title. F3 stands for the third generation to be hatched in captivity from this lineage of southern Georgia eastern kingsnakes. Mr. Kevin Enge caught the original pair. I purchased a pair of babies that he produced from that wild caught pair, the F1 generation. I then raised up that pair and bred them together producing the F2 generation. Those animals were bred together this spring to produce this F3 generation. Basically it is selective inbreeding for specific traits, the orange color and the abberant patterns. The original wild caught pair looks nothing like these, their great grandchildren. Check the kingsnake forum. Keith Hillson recently did a photo montage tracing this lineage back to its wild founderstock. Take care.
