I hate to say it but yes.It was 3 years ago that Specales,my box turtle,died of an eye infection.I will never get a box turtle again.I was so stupid.

Using a dead box turtles shell as a cup. Now thats sanitary LOL

It is sanitary if you disinfect it or coat it with a water proof sealant. I've got a drinking horn like that.
