ok. i just moved into a new apartment and one night i was outside looking aorund and looked over to see a spider.. ok.. no big.. then i took a steo back and saw like 15 of these spiders all over the front of the building. i have no idea what they are. id like to find out so i can tell if they are dangerous or not. thanks you for the help in advance.
Two types come to mind.. a Marbled Orb Weaver, or a European Garden Spider. I live in WI. & in one of the parks in near by Green Lake is a floating pier. One night when I was over there visiting a cop friend of mine we walked out to the entrance of the pier & he shined his Mag Lite down the length of it, & there was literally hundreds of those within the framework of the pier. They ranged in size from a pea, up to acorn sized. It's gotten to the point where the locals are upset, & won't even go out around sunset, or dusk to enjoy the lake anymore because they are literally everywhere. You can't even sit down on the benches on the end. Although capable of biting, they are harmless overall.
