Keywords: Leopard gecko cage
This is my finished leo cage, the shelves are plexiglass covered with acrylic latex window galze, then sand, then polycrylic finish, then sand then more finish till I got it right. There are two coats of finish on the outside.
It looks great. I see your leos are already enjoying the humid hide! I like the two upper levels idea. It seems to make great use of the verticle space! Awsome job.

Shelves are a great idea! what are you using as substrate?

Well this picture was taken about four years ago. I used Bounty paper towels for the substrate on the main level. The other two levels were constructed from plexi-glass and then covered with some sort of glazing (window glazing maybe, I can't remember). Then before the glazing dried I took some sand and covered the glazing, waited for it to dry, then brush/blew the excess sand off the shelves. The shelves were then coated with water-based polyurethane a few times to prevent the sand from coming off. This was a fantastic setup that my leos thoroughly enjoyed.
