this might sound stupid but please humor me... what makes a possitive het? one that has succesfully bred the gene u r looking for?? or is there another way of telling?

poss. "normally" stands for possible which as you know is marketing ploy untill the animal is actually proven.

There was a thread on this animal. Apparently it was being sold as a possible het based on at least one of its ancestors being a het. The % of such a possible het is a way of representing its chances of actually being a het. IMHO it would only be a marketing ploy if it was being misrepresented and didn’t really come from a known pied line. However this snake's belly also exhibits a suspected marker seen in some (but not all) het pieds so it's odds of being a het might be higher than predicted based on it's ancestry.
