Silkmoth caterpillar [most likely] with wasp/hornet eggs on its back. Best to remove the pests

Nah thats a hornworm, either of the Tomato or Tobacco hornworm. Those are parasitic wasp cocoons on it's back, once they hatch the caterpillar dies.
