Keywords: tiny brown lizard
Lizard is 2 and 1/4 inches long. Light brown with darker brown triangle markings running full length. Whip like tail is as long as the body. It came into a plant nursery attached to a tropical plant. Has long nailed digits and a crocodile shaped head only slightly shorter, appears to have teeth and be intelligent. Please put a name to this lizard.
That would be a brown anole (Anolis sagrei). They are quite common in southern and central Florida, but originally from the bahama's and carribean islands. They can be found quite frequently in plant nurseries and are often delivered with various plants from these nurseries.
