My aurantiaca cage

that looks awesome,how hard is it to build a vivarium like that,and how much money did it cost? im thinking about getting a couple Dendrobates auratus,or mantellas,in the future. would be a good project to work on

The cost for this was relatively inexpensive. The supplies are purchased were: Sheet of eggcrate, $10 but It was enough to use for 3 vivariums. $2.50 for the pvc couplers to hold up the eggcrate. I had the material that I used to put on top of egg crate, but you can get this for under $3.00. Then either gravel or clay granules, which I had plenty of gravel already, but You can get it from any nursery for $3. The cork bark is a few dollars per piece, but not much. THen, I used cross stich sheets to make the channel, which costed $0.39. THen for the substrate, i used zoo med coco bricks, which I got 3 bricks for $7.00, but used only 1 brick. THen I have about $10 in plants or less. So, the grand total would be about $36, but many of these supplies would be in excess which could almost finish off another terrarim of this size. I love your set-up. I want to mimic this set-up for my Slimy salamander(s). I love the river that you've got going. My neutral set-up I have now is like a quarentine set-up. Thanks for posting up how you made your viviarium.

that rivers to deep the mantellas will drown in it its a pretty plan tank anyway
