Hello, this is my first tegu, bought it about a week ago, spent about $10 on crickets already, can anyone identify the tegu and what can i feed him that will fill him up more?

ah i see, i was wondering because some people told me that it can be a golden tegu or a columbian black and white Tegu.

If you want him to get bigger faster, try giving him giant mealworms, or superworms. My tegu gets catfood, mice, rats, snails, superworms, turkey, kiwi, chicken, and the occasional pinky. He sheds about once every 26-28 days on this diet. You can keep feeding him crickets if you want, but in about another month, he will need larger food items such as superworms, roaches etc... Hope this helps.

A Colombian Black and White Tegu and a Golden or Black and Gold Tegu are the same thing. But the only true Black and White Tegu is the Argentine Black and White Tegu.
