No, I did not build this cage myself. He seems to like it though.

what is that on the very bottom of the cage ? it looks very good, I'm asking it because I'm building (or tryng to:)a screen cage for a chameleon like that (I bought structure mine too)and I don't really wanna use one of those horrible tupperwares that most of chameleon keepers use on the bottom, ya know?

The stuff on the bottom of chomps' cage is a new type of coconut fiber that is being produced by a friend of mine, but the name of the company where it is produced escapes me at the present moment. When I remember it, I will post it.
But, the bedding comes in three forms. The first form is just like the bed-a-beast coconut bedding, the next is the same type of thing but in pellet form. Just misting the pellets will get you the powdery bedding that the bricks turn into. And the third is just the bedding. The bedding is made up entirely of coconut fiber, and contains no chemicals, thus, being safer for youre animals than bed-a-beast which has some chemicals in it (thats why you cough when you pour the dry bed-a-beast into youre cage). Another great thing about this bedding is that it retains moisture better than anything I have ever seen.
Also, do you live in California? If so where?
