These black and white lizards were fairly common on the island of Roatan, Honduras. I can't figure out the exact species though, can anyone help? More pictures can be found at www.amphibiancare.com

Hey,
The unidentified lizard is a Isla de Roatan Iguana Ctenosaura Oedirhina. Mainly thought to be rather rare in the wild, were they?

I saw these lizards only 3 times, and that was in the Botanical Gardens. Near the Botanical Gardens is a place a lady there calls "The Iguana Wall" which is a iguana nesting site for a few species of iguanas as well as parrots. Maybe these animals were only common at the Botanical Gardens because it was near a place for them to lay eggs? Thanks for identifying the lizard.

From the pictures that you have they all appear to be babies, maybe recently hatched.
