Why is one so green and the other almost brown. I had an iguana for 10 years when I was younger but had no help or education on them. Mine was always the color of the darker one.

The smaller one is a little over a year younger than the other. She is maybe 1 1/2 years old. They are greener when they are young. The older they get they loose their bright greenness. I have seen some older really green iggys though. The bigger one is really stressed out at the moment because of all the hurricanes they had to be evacuated for (3 in less than 2 months). Also, she has always been darker than she should ever since I got her. Even the small one is darker than normal. After they get back to normal and in their routine they will get back to their normal color. I have a larger iggy too that is green and has a lot of orange on him too.
