there is a big problem down there in FL. with stupid people setting free there Pythons becasue they are too big and can't take care ofthem any more. I read an article that said that last year or the year before, 65 pythons were caught in one year... thing of it is...some have been there so long that they have bred and there are little ones being born.

I own 2 burmese pythons and it looks like its just a regular burm. but also i have talked to several people about this subject, and the weather patterns in the everglades of florida make that area liveable by many exotic species. one of my friends knows people that go herping around the everglades (just for research purposes) and they have encountered many bearded dragons, burmese pythons, reticulated pythons, and so on. if people would only investigate before they buy an adorable little burmese baby then these type of things wouldnt happen. thats just my 2 cents for whatever its worth

I did not realize that people could post on these pictures, or I would have explained the picture to you all. This snake was run over by a Trucker near Everglades City FL (Collier County) on SR 29.
There is a good sized wild population of Burmese Pythins down here and this is just one of them, please feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
Thanks

looks like a african rock python imo. although the burms and rocks are similar. the reason i come to believe it is a rock is because of its tight pattern on the sides and back. but burms have a more loose patter bigger patches ect. but feel free to correct me if im wrong.

also do you know a approx length on that one. it looks to be pretty good size but pictures could be decieveing.
