Hey,
Well for starters, I use over head heat panels, made by ProProducts. The heat panels are roughly 18 inches by 11 inches. They are rated at roughly 65 watts, and produce quite a lot of heat, but not enough to burn the animals; not to mention the cages are temperature controlled with the use of a Helix DBS1000, located to the side of the second cage on the rack . (It is visible in the photo).

The animals in the cages, are housed in them permanently, and do not require hides as adults. However, bunched and crumpled newspaper, is offered and layered in the cages so the animals can bury them selves under the paper if they choose to, and they often do. At any rate, the animals are also, breeding and have been for some time. I am hoping for something but don't have a date yet.

Note: These cages are my design and are made from 3/4" melamine.

Hey,
Here is a picture that I shot tonight, illustrating the "Heat Panel", in use. The heat panel is controlled using a "Helix DBS1000, thermostat, with digital probe located in one of the cages located on the rack of cages in this shot, second level.

Note: Every adult cage in the rack, has a heat panel installed in it, with the exception of the top cage. That will have one in a weeks time.

Check out the link to my gallery (see all of Bangkabloods photos), and see a clear picture of the heat panel.

Note: Check out their web site (Pro-products.com), and learn about the heat panel and go to Helix (www.helixcontrols.com), for thermostat.
