Keywords: Sick Red Eared Slider
I need your help. I have recently rescued three sliders from an abusive environment. I am almost certain that these three have been infected by mosquito larvae. Any ideas? Please reply!!!
Can't tell really anything from your photo. It's fuzzy. What do you mean by infected by mosquito larvae? I've never heard of that in all my years of rehabbing turtles. Unsymetrical spots (pink, white or black) can mean systemic bacterial infection or commonly called shell rot. This isn't unusual in turtles kept in dirty conditions. If this, it only can be treated by injections from a good turtle vet. Give more of a description and maybe I can offer more suggestions. Is the shell soft or lumpy, is it eating, does it have runny eyes, nose?
