If you do wanna use a sandy bedding use calci-bone its calcium and they can digest it without a problem. Or desert blend lizard litter.

It is calci sand (bone aid) I am actually changing it back to aspen bedding anyways. I plan on cooling him later this week and will have his tank filled with the aspen when I bring him back. Thanks for the concern guys.

Great looking snake in a great natural looking set up.
To bad your going with apen. I wasnt aware that caci sand was bad for snakes aslong as you dont feed them on it.
I see natural setups at zoo I go to for desert snakes using sand.
