Thats a cool lookin tank ya got there. The turt dont eat the gold fish in there. Is that an painted turtle or a RES?

Well she used to eat them;there were 5 and now theres 2.There were 11 bluegill and now there is 5.There were 5 rosies and now there are 3.And a minnow.Speedy is an Eastern Painted Turtle.I found her in May and she was gonna get eaten by a Garter snake.

Im sorry to burst your bubble but snakes do not eat turtles, and if they do sorry cuz I have never seen nor heard of it!

Good point never thought about it.Trtles are cold blooded so snakes can't see them.But I'm sure it wasn't good for her to be out there.With cars and lawnmowers and fourwheelers everywhere.

Water snakes of the genus Nerodia DO eat turtles. I've seen large Northern water snakes with turtles in their gut.
