After seeing this pic, i was all excited to finally got to know i actually have a pair! What a pleasant surprise. BUT... i checked out the site by Chris Tabaka, he wrote otherwise. He sexed them by the shape of tails and not anal scute. I'm really confused now.

At the risk of being misunderstood.. if you have stars.. and they compare like these.. you have A PAIR! Not everyone knows how to sex tortoises.. some refuse to learn.. no dout there are some species that challenge the RULE.. STARS is not one of them! See my Redfoot "anal scute" comparison also.. when any tortoises are too young to recognize a distinct difference in "size and shape" of tails.. you can always count on ANAL SCUTE comparison. The ZOO where these came from.. which has hatched over 100.. agrees.
