Very cool, reminds me of a blue tounge skink. Get a pic of it striking the camera, like 1 inch away from the lense. That would be cool. Over all its an awesome pic

Those are great pic's of Atheris. I'm curious to know if he's yawning or if he's gaping at you out of hostility. I don't know much about behavior patterns of Atheris....are they usually pretty aggressive or docile?

I actually made it strike as I hit the shutter of the camera. It is very shy even when provoked. Yet, it will strike unexpectedly if you walk past. It is also wild caught though. It actually died 3 weeks after I took this shot. :( All my other animals are C.B. and are doing wonderful. I'll post my pic of my new Rhino Viper soon!
