This is a plasctic tub where heat tape had shorted out and melted the tub.Almost burnt my whole snake rack up.

try putting your heat tape on a thermostat and elevating your boxes about a quarter of an inch off of the tape itself to alow a little circulation. I did this with mine and have never had meltdowns since.
