I wouldn’t go as far to say that either candidate, Bush or Kerry is evil. I just think that both have different philosophies on how to govern the country. Since my views tend to be more conservative I believe Bush is the better candidate. I'm sure there are people that disagree, but that is what makes this country so great, we all have a voice and we all have the freedom to express our views. Another issue I have a problem with is the fact that allot of people out there say that Bush is stupid, retarded etc. well the fact is he does mangle the English language when he speaks but he did graduate from Yale, has a business degree from Harvard and was a fighter pilot in the National Guard, that’s not to shabby in my book.

Nevin, I hate to correct you here, but Bush was in the Air National Guard, a distinct and separate branch of the services. Regardless, plenty of Units/soldiers have served during war time.
I myself am a 8 year veteran of the Army Reserves and served in Afganistan (Operatin Enduring Freedom) as well as other operations/deployments previous to that. Trust me, reservists and guardsmen see plenty of "action" during war time and peace time. But you are in fact correct that Bush never did deploy to an area or theatre of conflict.
With regards to the previous post, it also irks me when people chide our president as being "stupid". He's certainly no dummy. But to state that just because he went to Yale, makes him a genius is silly as well. Legacy goes a long way at these Ivy schools, and chances are if you've got the right name and if daddy has donated large sums of money to the school, your offspring will get in. When it’s all said and done, Bush is probably of average intelligence.
Regardless, any veteran in his right mind would never vote for Kerry, myself included. I’m of course hoping that Bush wins, but I also hope that all the Bush bashers will then either 1)move to Canada or 2) actually do something constructive to change what they dislike about their govt, i.e. become involved in the political process, vote, volunteer, anything but moan and cry like a little bitch about how bad it is here. (and no I’m not referring to you directly Nevin. You may very well already be involved in the above, I don’t know).
