Tortoise enclosure w/humid hide

HELP!! My star tortoise seems active but not eating much, maybe a quarter of its daily food intake. Its stool is watery dark colour, not the usual water or hard stool. Recently i use hamster bedding/soft wood shavings to line their tank. Could it be that they ate the shavings because it's soft and can get stu[bleep] to their food? I'm worried si[bleep]... please help! Thanks, Kim

Hi Terry, yes, i read most of everything in the site you mentioned. Anyway, i'm happy the male star is getting ba[bleep] on tra[bleep], he's eating again BUT he's totally off green leafy veggies! He eats everything else except this. Hopefully he wont be put off by other food or i dont know what to do. The female star is ok, she still eats fresh food. Both eat Vitakraft tortoise food. They behave strangely sometimes and none of this is written in any articles that i read.
