My cockatiel, Kelkush, spread his/her wings when he is afraid of something. Thus, he seems bigger, and tries to frighten his enemy. I read somewhere that cockatiels spread their wings to protect their nest. Rating: 5/5

well that might be true considering she hisses a lot and spreads her wings just as much. she doesnt have a nest though to protect...so i was thinking she did it because the male does it?
