Any idea what kind it is?
About 1.5 inches long, body about 3/4"
It came in during a chilly time here in Silicon Valley, CA so we let it stay since it was being polite. Besides, it's so much bigger than our usual house spider it's a little bit scary for me to think of trying to catch it in my spider cup to put outside.
It has built a sloping web in one corner of the window and hangs out at the top of it in the evening. It's hidden during the day.
