Best Buy Desk/Storage Furniture to be Converted

Well, originally I was planning to build my own set and shelves for a new cage with my dad, but we came across this in Best Buy on clearance, and decided it would be good to convert to a cage instead, not to mention less expensive. It's not as deep as I'd like but I think it will work. The inside dimensions of the cage are 35" L x 13 3/4"D x 17 3/4" H. The front will be sliding glass doors and the inside and part of the back and sides will be lined with leftover shower board. There will be more holes drilled into the left side for ventilation, a "hood" set up for a heat emitter on the right side on the divider, and the top will probably be a screened panel that will open up. What do you all think?
