Keywords: No shelter, No food, water is filthy. Feces Everywhere

My next-door neighbors backyard. Two unloved dogs. Trapped on the side of their yard behind a piece of plywood living in their own feces. What can I do to help??? I'd confront the owners myself but we have dogs too & I concerned that they will retaliate by hurting my dogs.

Contact the local humane society or there may be a local rescue group that will help the dogs.

Looks like a friendly dog and it's very cute. If the water and food bowls are empty when the animal control folks arrive, maybe they will warn the owners or take the dog. I also see no shelter for this dog. If there are feces littering the area, that helps make a case. Poor dog, I hope it gets a new home where someone loves it. It probably never gets any attention except when someone feeds or waters it. Some people have been known to kidnap dogs like this and find them good homes. Risky, but sometimes the only way to get the dog out of a bad situation.
